is a painter living in Brooklyn. She studied at the Cooper Union and Kanazawa College of Arts in Japan and sometimes works as an archaeological illustrator in Egypt. She is interested in stage tricks and nonbiological life, especially the kind that happens on paper.
“Danny Boy” was commissioned by Triple Canopy through its 2012 call for proposals as part of the Immaterial Literature
project area, which receives support from the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, the Brown Foundation, Inc., of Houston, the Lambent Foundation Fund of Tides Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council, and the New York State Council on the Arts.
